Hurting in the Hills I A Gravel Adventure
Просмотров 9 тыс.Месяц назад
For the last few years, we’ve completely embraced the bike amble. Going slow, wandering on two wheels, prioritising nature stops and snack breaks over speed or mileage. And it’s been lovely, but, we’ve ended up a tad out of shape. With a world ride quickly approaching, where bike ambling might not always be possible, we thought it would be a good idea to see if we still had a pair of legs on us...

We finish work, pack our bags and ride off into the hills to spend a night in a tent. The last few months have been full-on and it’s got overwhelming. But periods like this always remind us just how powerful a night in a tent can be. And it’s long overdue. And a big thank you to our new Patreon community for supporting our filmmaking. Leaving a Cottage to Live in a Tent

We've been hinting at some major life changes for quite some time now, and here it is. Feels pretty crazy we can now saw we're leaving our Lake District Cottage to live in a tent. The Final Fell I A Lake District Short Film
Просмотров 12 тыс.3 месяца назад
The Lake District has 214 famous peaks, known as Wainwrights, with 24 in the Northern Fells. Over the last 12 months, we've been cycling to each of the Northern Fells, to slowly explore them one by one. Our goal was to properly connect with our local landscape, its history, and communities. With 23 peaks hiked, run, and cycled, there was just one remaining, the last piece of the puzzle, the fin...
A Tale of Three Halves I Bikepacking the Ayrshire Coastline in Winter

You never know what to expect with winter trips to Scotland. We set off to bikepack the Ayrshire Coastline, leaving right between two major storms. But, as always, blown away by Scottish charm and character. We were sent Bikepacking Scotland a...

Can you live in a remote cottage with just a bicycle?

In 2022, we moved to a remote cottage in the Lake District National Park, UK. Miles from the nearest town, 7 miles from the nearest train station. Just surrounded by rolling hills, sheep and farms. I was born and raised and live in the state of MN( Minnesota), once known as the land of 10,000( now 14,000 lakes) including Lake Superior which is considered an inland sea. Windermere is also a town! To add to the confusion it is about 1.5 miles from the lake. The town by the lake is Bowness on Windermere. It’s all the fault of the railway which ended here. It was meant to continue into Ambleside but objectors and cost stopped it. So that people would know where they were when they got off the train they called it Windermere except it’s not! I live there and frequently get asked by visitors , “where is the lake?”
